Alison Doody

Alison Doody was born in Dublin, Ireland on November 11, in 1966. The model is as well an Irish actor. Following her film debut by playing a minor role in the Bond film A View to a Kill (1985) she went on to play anti-Nazi archaeologist Elsa Schneider, in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989). Siobhan Donevan is in A Prayer for the Dying (1997), Charlotte Taffin (1988), and Rebecca Flannery Major League II (1994) were other characters. Doody became a model after she was approached by a aspiring photographer. The career she pursued has evolved into commercial modelling. Doody was adamantly against glamour and naked work, a rule that allowed her to pursue an acting profession. Having come to the attention of the director who cast an upcoming James Bond film she accepted the role of Jenny Flex in 1985's A View to a Kill. Doody was in John Willis Screen World Volume 2. She played Sapsorrow in the Jim Henson's fable show The Storyteller, opposite John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. The actress acted alongside Pierce Brosnan in the film Taffin (1988) before taking possibly her most famous role ever as Austrian Archaeologist and Nazi-sympathiser The Dr. Elsa Schneider in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in which she starred alongside Harrison Ford. Doody played alongside Sean Connery in the film in the role of Indy's father. In the year 1991, Doody was co-starring with Jonathan Pryce in British mini-series Selling Hitler inspired by the publishing fraud known as the Hitler Diaries. The actress later relocated to Hollywood. It was her choice to succeed Cybill Shepard in the role of L'Oreal spokeswoman. She went on to star opposite Charlie Sheen as Flannery, his wife and agent on the film Major League II. Doody's first appearance on the big screen took place in 2003 when Michael Caine played Doody in an uncredited role. In 2004, Doody starred with Patrick Swayze alongside a TV version of King Solomon's Mines. Also, she appeared in Benjamin's Struggle (2005), a pamphlet describing the Holocaust. In 2010 Doody shot a part of Danny Dyer's movie The Rapture (2010). Later, she appeared as a guest in RTE's medical drama The Clinic and was set to star in a 2011 remake of the classic horror film The Asphyx but the project later stalled. Pam Jefferson, the character she played on E4's comedy Beaver Falls during its first season of two years. In 2014, she was a part of We Still Kill the Old Way. On 21 November 2018 she was honored by the Almeria Tierra de Cine award and was awarded the honor of a star on the Almeria Walk of Fame.
